Government Project Manager - Government Defence Sales
Location: Hybrid – Based in Copenhagen or Vemb, Denmark (Applications welcome from across Europe)

The Opportunity
We are expanding our Government & Defence team and are looking for a highly driven Government Project Manager to support our continued growth across Europe.
This is a unique opportunity to join an ambitious and fast-growing international team where you will play a key role in developing business opportunities with military organizations, law enforcement agencies, government entities, defence contractors and strategic distribution partners.
You will work closely with the Director of Government & Defence Sales and become an important part of driving the future growth of Wiley X within the Government segment.
The position is affiliated with our Government & Defence team based in Denmark. While our Copenhagen and Vemb offices serve as operational hubs for the Government & Defence team, we offer flexible hybrid working arrangements and welcome applications from qualified candidates across Europe.
This role combines sales, business development and project management within the Government & Defence sector. You will play an active role in developing new business opportunities, supporting strategic customer relationships and driving key initiatives that contribute to the continued growth of Wiley X across Europe.
The successful candidate will work with customers and partners across Europe and engage with some of the most respected organizations within the Defence and Security sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and drive sales opportunities across assigned European markets.
- Build and maintain relationships with military organizations, law enforcement agencies, government entities, defence contractors and distribution partners.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Support and manage Government opportunities, public tenders and procurement activities.
- Participate in and support international trade shows, defence exhibitions and customer events.
- Support the planning, setup, execution and follow-up of exhibitions, trade shows and customer events.
- Deliver product presentations, demonstrations and training sessions.
- Achieve agreed sales objectives and business development targets.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, Government sales, Defence sales, Law Enforcement sales or related commercial roles.
- Experience from Defence, Military, Law Enforcement, Tactical, Protective Equipment or related industries is highly desirable.
- Experience working with public procurement processes, Government tenders and framework agreements is considered an advantage.
- Experience from NATO, Ministries of Defence, military procurement agencies, defence contractors or related organizations is considered an advantage.
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills.
- Ability to manage complex sales opportunities and long sales cycles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Self-driven, entrepreneurial and capable of working independently.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- A hands-on mindset with the ability and willingness to contribute across all aspects of the business, from business development and customer engagement to trade shows, exhibitions and market activities.
Travel
This role involves approximately 60–70 travel days annually across Europe, including customer visits, military exhibitions, defence trade shows and industry events.
